It has always been a dream of mine to have a nice enough place that I can decorate and buy quality furniture. Knowing that we will most likely be here long term is a great feeling and makes me so confident in picking new furniture. Like I said in my last post, this house is pretty big and we have plenty of space for bigger furniture. This is the first time I’ve bought area rugs for a home too! Ooo she getting fancy!

This rug I pictured for the upstairs living room area. I want to get accent pillows to match the rug for the Sofa and Chair.
Dave picked this coffee table out for the downstairs living room in the walkout basement. He has already claimed it as his man cave. Lol
This rug has the same name as the blue one but this is actually an entirely separate rug from the one above. I wanted this area rug for the dining room table. I picture neutral colors in this area of our home and wanted to stick to that theme.
This was hard for me to decide on. I knew during our search that I wanted a table that could extend and accommodate 8 people. It comes with two extension leafs. It’s been a dream of mine to have a home large enough to entertain family and guests over the holidays and throw random dinner parties. Cooking for people and hosting dinners is my love language. There are so many beautiful table options!
Seriously, words can not describe the feelings of happiness and fulfillment I experience having family over. I wanted something that was rustic looking and simple. I kept telling Dave, “I just want a simple piece of wood”. This fit the bill. I loved it so much and we got it at such a great price. I think it will look really nice paired with the gray and beige area rug. I can already picture family and friends laughing and enjoying each other for years to come around this table. There are many memories to be made here. Exactly what I wanted.
I love the chairs that came with the dining room table. I wanted low chairs to go with the average level of the dining room table. We were happy with these and got 6 for now, but I plan on getting two more. Or we might get two upholstered chairs that are beige to match these for the ends of the table after we extend it.
As soon as I saw this Sofa in the show room I knew I needed it. I love everything about it. The texture of the fabric, the color, the size. I even sat on it and was blown away by how comfortable it was. Just amazing! This was even one of the cheaper sofas we looked at compared to a lot of the others that were priced at $999 and up! I loved how large this chair was and it’s very wide. I thought this would go perfect in our new living room. Now just need to find those accent pillows to match the rug! I also love the thought of curling up on this to chat with friends or read a book.
This coffee table, when I first noticed it, was paired with a different set of living room furniture. I loved the size and solid wood look of it. It is one of the largest coffee tables I’ve seen! It looks rustic, yet modern and unique. I wanted something heavy duty, something with a strong look to it. I loved this coffee table, and come to find out it is a suggested pairing with the furniture we picked out by the online designer!
